Book now for Wetland Birds in Wales conference

A decade of work to restore Wales’ wetlands for birds will be celebrated at the annual WOS conference, organised in conjunction with RSPB Cymru and the British Trust for Ornithology. It will be held on Saturday 6 November in Carno Community Centre, near Caersws, Powys.

WOS President Iolo Williams will open the Conference, welcoming the achievement of wetland restoration programmes across the country. An important role for WOS and the network of bird clubs is to support surveys and studies of Wales’ wetlands birds; the conference will hear about little ringed plovers, goosanders, grey wagtails and dippers, which have witnessed differing fortunes over the last 40 years.

The Wetlands Birds in Wales conference costs £25 (£20 for WOS members), including lunch and refreshments, with a discount offered on membership for non-members who join at the Conference. Book your place now!
